No. 133
EARL GREY

Graff Guild got to work crafting a series of new spaces at the rear of the house to make the spaces more livable on a daily basis. First, we demolished the family room and replaced it with a two-story addition. Extending the old footprint of the house by a mere seven feet allowed us to create a mudroom, powder room, and family room at the lower level, with a primary suite on the second floor.

Each space was crafted for maximum functionality, and with lofty ceiling heights to capture the full vertical space available between grade and the peak of the house. By using subtle shifts in floor heights, we were able to achieve the sense of a private primary wing, with the kids’ room nearby. A muted palette of dark grey, light wood tones, and white served as the backdrop for marrying the home’s existing colonial elements with the modern addition.
